【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheapparentviscosityofasphaltsathandling,mixing,orapplicationtemperatures.Someasphaltsmayexhibitnon-Newtonianbehaviorundertheconditionsofthistestmethod,orattemperatureswithintherangeofthistestmethod.Sincenon-Newtonianviscosityvaluesarenotabsoluteproperties,butreflectthebehaviorofthefluidwithintheparticularmeasurementsystem,itshouldberecognizedthatmeasurementsmadebythistestmethodmaynotalwayspredictfieldperformanceundertheconditionsofuse.Comparisonsbetweennon-Newtonianviscosityvaluesshouldbemadeonlyformeasurementsmadewithsimilarconditionsoftemperature,shearrate,andshearhistory.1.1Thistestmethodoutlinesaprocedureformeasuringtheapparentviscosityofasphaltfrom38to260176;C(100to500176;F)usingarotationalviscometerandatemperature-controlledthermalchamberformaintainingthetesttemperature.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgivenincentimetregramsecond(cgs)unitsandinch-poundunitsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Seeforspecificprecautionaryinformation.
