【摘要】:Fieldtestsprovidethemostreliablerelationshipbetweentheaxialloadappliedtoadeepfoundationandtheresultingaxialmovement.Testresultsmayalsoprovideinformationusedtoassessthedistributionofsideshearresistancealongthepileshaftandthelong-termload-deflectionbehavior.Afoundationdesignermayevaluatethetestresultstodetermineif,afterapplyinganappropriatefactorofsafety,thepileorpilegrouphasanultimatestaticcapacityandadeflectionatserviceloadsatisfactorytosupportaspecificfoundation.Whenperformedaspartofamultiple-piletestprogram,thedesignermayalsousetheresultstoassesstheviabilityofdifferentpilingtypesandthevariabilityofthetestsite.Iffeasible,withoutexceedingthesafestructuralloadonthepile(s)orpilecap,themaximumloadappliedshouldreachafailureloadfromwhichtheengineermaydeterminetheultimateaxialstatictensileloadcapacityofthepile(s).Teststhatachieveafailureloadmayhelpthedesignerimprovetheefficiencyofthefoundationbyreducingthepilinglength,quantity,orsize.Ifdeemedimpracticaltoapplyaxialtestloadstoaninclinedpile,theengineermayelecttouseaxialtestresultsfromanearbyverticalpiletoevaluatetheaxialcapacityoftheinclinedpile.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythesetestmethodsisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthesetestmethodsarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisstandardmeasuretheaxialdeflectionofaverticalorinclineddeepfoundationwhenloadedinstaticaxialtension.Thesemethodsapplytoalldeepfoundations,referredtohereinas"piles,"thatfunctioninamannersimilartodrivenpilesorcastinplacepiles,regardlessoftheirmethodofinstallation,andmaybeusedfortestingsinglepilesorpilegroups.Thetestresultsmaynotrepresentthelong-termperformanceofadeepfoundation.1.2Thisstandardprovidesminimumrequirementsfortestingdeepfoundationsunderstaticaxialtensileload.Plans,specifications,provisions,oranycombinationthereofpreparedbyaqualifiedengineermayprovideadditionalrequirementsandproceduresasneededtosatisfytheobjectivesofaparticulartestprogram.Theengineerinresponsiblechargeofthefoundationdesign,referredtohereinastheengineer,shallapproveanydeviations,deletions,oradditionstotherequirementsofthisstandard.1.3Thisstandardallowsthefollowingtestprocedures:1.4Apparatusandprocedureshereindesignated"optional"mayproducedifferenttestresultsandmaybeusedonlywhenapprovedbytheengineer.Theword"shall"indicatesamandatoryprovision,andtheword"should"indicatesarecommendedoradvisoryprovision.Imperativesentencesindicatemandatoryprovisions.1.5Aqualifiedgeotechnicalengineershouldinterpretthetestresultsobtainedfromtheproceduresofthisstandardsoastopredicttheactualperformanceandadequacyofpilesusedintheconstructedfoundation.Seeforcommentsregardingsomeofthefactorsinfluencingtheinterpretationoftestresults.1.6Aqualifiedengineershalldesignandapproveallloadingapparatus,loadedmembers,supportframes,andtestprocedures.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymat......
